Forgive me if this has been posted, but I did a quick forum search and did not see anything. This one sounds great!!!

  2. Wow. This is everything I want. Hope it's not as well crazy to track down.
  3. Had this on tap all day at the Black Political party this year. Not sure the blueberry and vanilla worked together, very sweet. It might exist worth revisiting, but I wasn't that impressed.
  4. Any idea what distribution will be on this? Will it make it to Due east Coast? I'm unfamilar with the Backstage releases.

This may be a silly question, but is this supposed to be pronounced like to "Wizard of Oz"?
  7. I'll buy at least ii one for now and one for the cellar

Considering the amount of the last few backstage releases that hit NY I would like to call up at that place will be enough. Even PAM sat for several months
  11. Hasn't been a Backstage release in years that hasn't sat on shelves, I don't see this being all that much different unless reviews are through the roof.

It's bourbon butt aged and it'due south Founders. It won't sit...unless the price is like $25 or more. Only even so, it won't turd up like the other releases accept.
  13. Where did you see that this is a Backstage Release? Non saying it is not (probably is) just accept non seen confirmation of this?

According to the label in the first post, information technology's in a 750 mL bottle. I believe that Founders merely uses that format for their Backstage beers.
  15. Yeah, I think anyone expecting this to sit around like the by half dozen Backstage releases is going to be in for a rude awakening. This isn't a redux similar Blushing Monk and Mango Magnifico were, it'south not a "standard" style like Dissenter and ReDANKulous, and fifty-fifty though Projection PAM went into bourbon barrels, information technology was a black IPA--not a style that people go nuts over for barrel-aging.

This one is a bourbon barrel imperial stout with chocolate, vanilla beans and blueberries. The blueberries might throw a few people off, but I imagine the interest in this is going to be pretty high, and the bourbon barrel aging will probable create a natural limit on production quantities.

Only hey, peradventure I'll exist pleasantly surprised, considering I think this sounds crawly and I would love to exist able to grab a couple bottles without hassle.

I demand a release date so I tin can go line upwards now.
  18. Personally I'll exist waiting to read reliable reviews regardless of how slap-up it may seem. They've let me downwardly too many times
  19. Y'all really didn't miss anything.

First backstage in a long time that sounds worth picking upwardly.
  21. I like it a lot :slight_frown:
  22. It is the 2nd and concluding Backstage Serial beer of 2016, I would expect information technology some time in belatedly November/early on December.
  23. You must be in the minority. I didn't like it fresh or with 10 months on it. Average at all-time and an unfortunate utilise of maple bourbon barrels.

Project Pam has got a 93 (4.2) from 221 reviews on here, so it seems like plenty of people did like it ...
  25. Interesting, maybe these people have never had CBS?

I still see Dissenter on shelves. They really shot their human foot on that one.

I loved Dissenter! My only complaint was that it was a bit pricey for what it was. I imagine information technology didn't sell well because information technology isn't a style that people hoard, and because it was a hop-frontwards beer it was deemed to accept a short shelf life. Whatever bottles left on shelves after a few months were destined to sit down in that same spot forever. I really don't call up yous can fault the actual beer for that 1 (unlike mango magnifico part deux)

I really similar PAM and take had CBS at least half a dozen times.

I hear this ofttimes. I call up people are under the impression that those maple bourbon barrels could accept been used to firm CBS instead of PAM. Just if I sympathise correctly, those barrels had already been used one time for CBS and the "second use" was for PAM. Founders intends to only use outset-utilise barrels for CBS, and so information technology wasn't really an option to exist used for CBS.

On a similar note, the Mitten had a barleywine on tap a while back that was aged in used Projet PAM barrels. It was fantastic! It'due south kinda absurd to consider the life of those barrels from originally aging bourbon, then maple syrup, then CBS, then PAM, and then a nice BW.

  31. Honestly, this is the outset place I have come across people that idea highly of Project Pam. IMO, it was a decent beer but nil praiseworthy. I would much rather potable the 2nd incarnation of Mango Magnifico.

I thought Projection Pam was ok.. merely I couldn't meet myself buying another canteen or ordering a pour at a bar.

You lot're definitely in the minority effectually here if you preferred Magnifico 2.0 to PAM.

    FWIW, I liked both.

  34. That is exactly how I feel about it. Yeah, because maple bourbon barrels.
  35. I found a store in KCMO that still has Project PAM on the shelves.
  36. Project Pam is all the same sitting on the shelves in Michigan. I could of bought it last weekend along with dfh 120. Ane of the few Founders' beers I didn't intendance for.
  37. PAM lurked for a while around here considering it cost more than anything else on the shelf.
If Woz is in the same price range it might lurk too, just because the price will discourage experimenters and bulk purchases.
